Devop? Do we need such a role?

Table of Content

A DevOps (short for “Development Operations”) is a role that combines the responsibilities of a software developer and a systems administrator. The main job of a DevOps is to automate the process of software development, testing, and deployment, as well as to build and maintain the infrastructure that the software runs on. This includes tasks such as configuring and maintaining servers, setting up and maintaining continuous integration and delivery pipelines, and monitoring and troubleshooting production systems. The goal of a DevOps is to enable rapid and reliable delivery of software updates, while also ensuring that the systems are scalable, secure, and highly available.
